
Incorporated on July 1, 1955, the City of South Pasadena occupies 0.6 square mile on the west coast of central Florida. It shares boundaries with St. Petersburg, Gulfport, and St. Pete Beach, as well as unincorporated areas of the Pinellas County. South Pasadena's population is approximately 5,000.

Form of Government
The City of South Pasadena has the Commission form of government. Five Commission members are elected from the city at large, one of whom is elected as Mayor, each for four year terms. Municipal elections are held on the second Tuesday in March of each year.
