Get Involved

The City of South Pasadena is always looking for dedicated individuals to give of their time and talents in service to the city.  With several committees, boards and events, there are many ways to be involved.

In addition to volunteering, citizens are encouraged to get involved with local organizations like the South Pasadena Community Band.  The city contributes to this group but it is independently organized and run so participation and membership is vital!

Annual Artspring Exhibition

Every spring the City of South Pasadena organizes an art exhibition called Artspring.  Local arts (residents and non-residents alike) are invited to submit their artwork to be displayed.  The exhibit is judged and ribbons are awarded for Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and Honorable Mention.  The exhibit is free to the public and there is no cost to enter and exhibit work.  For more information about Artspring or to sign up to volunteer or enter artwork, please contact the City Clerk's office.

Annual Holiday Boat Parade
In partnership with the City of St. Pete Beach, the City of South Pasadena holds an annual lighted boat parade during the holiday season.  Interested boaters decorate their vessels and take part in the parade route.  Judges award prizes including cash and gift certificates to the winners.  Non-boaters are invited to gather at Barbara Gilberg Habitat to watch the parade and enjoy refreshments provided by local businesses.  For more information about the Holiday Boat Parade, please contact the Public Works Department.

South Pasadena Community Band
Composed of both residents and non-residents, the South Pasadena Community Band performs monthly  concerts during the fall, winter, and spring months.  The band plays a wide range of musical genres and seasonal favorites at various local venues in the area.  For more information regarding concert dates or band members, please contact John Hoover at 727-398-9639 or visit their website here.
